This week, I’m in the process of throwing together last minute details for a friends birthday party at our house. I can’t wait to show you some of the fun & cheap ideas! 🙂 I’m also in the middle of helping plan a Secret Garden themed baby shower for my friend Jenn. That’s probably why this next idea popped in my brain. We’re going with something different but I wanted to show this to you because it is cheaper than cheap &…
Here’s what you need to round up –
1) Smooth rocks from either your backyard or you can get a bag of river rocks from your craft store.
2) Paint Pen (in whatever color you prefer)
Yep. That’s it. ;p
The steps, as you see, are simple. Just make sure the surface is clean, use a stencil or your own handwriting to label the rock accordingly.
Audrey (the girl that I’m helping with my friends baby shower) is making some flower cake pops that sound like they’re going to be amazing. Which is why I labeled that rock flower pops.
These are just an easy way to add something unique to your party. These would go great with a garden party, camping party, rustic party or you could really go colorful on the rocks for a painting party. Have fun painting the rocks bright, vibrant colors or even splattering them for a painting party.
Can you think of another party theme this would go with?
Hope your week is going well so far. Besides the party this weekend, Sunday is a BIG day for one of my family members. HUGE! I’ll share why that is in the Weekend Wrap Party next Monday.
Here’s a quick party picture from a P4P reader & co-worker, Shamso Raghe.
She dissected a lei & used pipe cleaners to attach it to the trellis to create a wall of flowers for a luau. How fun is that? If you’ve been inspired by Parties for Pennies, please share with me! I’d love to brag on you to everyone! Just email me (heidi@heidirew.com) or facebook me.
