Hey Party Peeps!
Are you ready to resume wedding week here on Parties for Pennies?
If you’re just joining, my sister is getting married & asked me to help her with her centerpieces. I decided to come up with five options & post them here on the blog so you can weigh-in.
To see the first two centerpieces click here & here.
I was trying something different with this centerpiece. I used the burlap & lace runner (like Meg wanted), filled the vase with frozen blueberries & added the purple hydrangeas.
The issue with using blueberries is they’re messy & once they defrost it could just look like purple mush. Eww…
I decided to give the limes a try too…
Where did these fall in the budget?
Still under the $40-$221 average for wedding centerpieces but a little higher than the other two.
What are your thoughts? There’s still several more to go.

Everything you do is just beautiful! I like the second arrangement best so far because it is so different and beautiful. If you end up using limes, I think the uncut, whole ones are the prettiest! Have a wonderful day!

Definitely like the one with the limes better. They brightened the arrangement quite nicely and makes the purple of the hydrangeas really pop (I love the HGTV terms…LOL!). I agree the blueberries could become too mushy (unless fake blueberries or even grapes were an option, though unsure about cost). It looks a tad small but would look lovely at the cake or drink table. It depends on the size of the guest tables, too. If they are smaller, then the smaller arrangement would be perfect. If they are fairly large, then it could get lost on the table. Maybe even add 4 taper candles to the corners (but out from the arrangement just a bit)…just a thought. ๐

Love the look of the limes, and they are cheaper – bonus! It looks super cute with the lime candles on either side. How is Meg going to choose between all these awesome ideas?!

The mother of the bride likes # 3 with limes. The burlap with lace is the perfect backdrop for the hydrangeas and limes. You are the best and most creative table decorator!!!

I love the one with the limes. Using slices really brings some interest to them – if you went with whole limes, it may just look like a glob of green when all is said and done. In one other post, you mentioned high ceilings. I think if you have some sort of stand, it would work better for the height. Maybe use a piece of wood from a tree (like a big branch cut into slices) that way you can vary the height at all the tables to make the overall layout more interesting.

A stand is a great idea! Thank you so much. Great ideas & input. Love it! <3 Heidi Rew

Forgot to add, dollar tree has super cute glass vases, so you might be able to knock even more our of the budget by getting them there!

Thanks Amber! I get most of my vases from Goodwill too. Sometimes specifically tall ones like that one are hard to come by but I’m sure I can find something cheaper. AND…I need to always remember to check the Dollar Tree! Great idea! <3 Heidi Rew
