Hey party people!
So a couple days ago, I showed you some simple DIY kitchen towel gift ideas. Now, I’m gonna show another uber simple homemade gift idea.
Here’s what you need:
Mugs (I got these from the Dollar Tree)
Letter Stamps
Glass Paint
You can create any design you’d like but I thought it’d be fun & festive to spell out “nice” and “naughty” on the mugs.
This is seriously a really easy project. All I did was use painters tape as a straight line guide to line up my letters. I poured a tiny bit of the glass paint on a plate, dipped the letters lightly in the paint and then stamped it onto the mug. I messed up a couple of times but all I had to do was wipe it off & I could start all over.
I allowed the paint to dry for an hour or so. Then I set them on a cookie sheet in the oven and turned it to 350 degrees. I allowed the oven to slowly heat up instead of preheating it. Let your mugs bake for about 30 minutes. Now the paint will be able to endure lots of coffee & hot chocolate.
These would make fun gifts for a hostess or friend. You could even fill them with chocolate (or “coal”).
I like the look of these but Kristin from The Hunted Interior also did some & they are much more glamorous. Check them out here.
I told you…uber easy.
I’ve got one more homemade gift idea that I’ll share with you this weekend.
