Hey there party people!
You may know that I just wrapped up my sister’s bridal shower. It was probably the most important shower I’ve ever thrown…because it was for my sister and best friend!
But enough about all that. I wanted to share with you an easy and penny-saving photo backdrop that ANYONE can do. This would be great for a kids candy-themed party…or a lego party…actually, any party…it’s very versatile.
Here’s What You Need for your Own Plate Photo Backdrop:
Foamboard (I used a tri-fold board)
Paper Plates
Glue Gun
Spray Paint
Lay your paper plates on the foamboard in the pattern you prefer. This helps get an idea of a good layout. Take your paper plates and glue them right-side down on the foamboard. Once the plates have been securely glued to the foamboard, spray paint the board the color you desire. I used a light purple.
Angela & Emily
I wanted to create a backdrop with texture and this definitely gives some crater-like texture.
Angela and Emily have been such sweet friends to Meg. She just adores them and I’m so glad she has such beautiful and sweet friends like these girls.
This is Jana & Leigha. They’re sisters. Aren’t they so pretty? We’ve had a couple of “sister dates” with Jana & Leigha and they were so fun. That reminds me…we need another one, soon! ;p
Sheena & Jessica
These are my salsa girls! Sheena and I were roomates for awhile (thanks to meeting her through Meg) and Jessica used to work with me. They are pretty good evidence that all of Meg’s friends are models! That shouldn’t surprise you, if you’ve seen my sister (gorgeous).
Enough with the friend D.L.
This is such a simple, inexpensive photo backdrop or party backdrop that can be used for almost any party.
So…as long as no glue guns are banned (I’d cry…literally bury my head in feathers, glitter and scrapbook paper and cry), get your party plate backdrop on!
I promise to show you the whole shower soon. I’ve got one more tutorial to show you, first.
Hold on to your pretty party pennies…
