Hey party people!
I need to ask your forgiveness.
I did a video tutorial for you.
The issue is…I hardly know how to use iMovie.
I used my Canon camera, set up a studio in our guest room, put up some lights, and started rolling.
I just want you to know that I apologize for my amateur attempt. I have plans to do more video tutorials but I promise those will be much better! Pinky-promise!
Here’s how to make a tufted backdrop…
You may remember this backdrop from my sister’s Champagne-themed bridal shower or my friend Hannah’s spa party.
It has also made an appearance at my neighbor’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s bridal shower.
It’s definitely been around the ole’ party block…and it’s still kickin.
One of the awesome P4P readers, Erica, wants to do this for a shower she’s throwing soon! I wanted to show Erica (and you) how easy this project is! It’s so pretty, too.
Side Note: The video got cut off when I was telling you the last thing you need to have for this project. You need to get those “brads” or fasteners from an office supply store. These are fasteners that have a large head on them (1″ to 1.5″) and have two pointed ends.
You can cover the heads with anything you’d like. I picked diamonds but you could do any jewel you wanted, a button, a piece of material…whatever your heart desires.
Good luck Erica & everyone else giving this project a try!
Now…can I ask something from you?
Is there a project you’ve seen on Parties for Pennies or Pinterest or even another blog that you’d LOVE to see a video tutorial on?
There are some projects that are so much easier to watch someone do it on camera, than to read the detailed instructions. What are those projects for you?
Again…I’ll try & get a professional to take care of the rest of the videos. Oh…and I’m not sure if I should ditch the apron or not. What are your thoughts?
Hope you have a party-fantastic weekend! Much love to everyone that’s a Mother! Still need some last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas? Check out these!
I’ve got something really fun planned for my mom! Can’t wait to share it with you!
Until then…
Party On!
p.s. This is YOUR official invite to the party… join in on the Parties for Pennies Facebook page, Twitter, and Pinterest!
