Hey party people!
When I was writing the title for this post, “Cookies…On a Stick,” all I could think of is Jeff Dunham’s “jalapeno on a stick.” I was going to include a snippet of his comedy routine in this post (just in case you haven’t seen Jeff’s show) but it wasn’t completely “safe for the whole family” so I opted to just snicker to myself & move on. Anyways….
This is one of those desserts that looks flashy but so simple & anyone can do it. It’s like the knock-off brand of party desserts! We just won’t tell anyone else how easy it is. Here’s a 5 minute dessert – Cookies on a Stick.
All you need to start with are:
Cookies (any kind & any size…equal opportunity cookie pops)
Lollipop Sticks (found in your local craft store)
Chocolate Melts (find these in your local craft store too)
Step 1: Start with two cookies. Melt the chocolate as directed on the package (I usually put it in the microwave for 30 second increments, stirring in between each, until it’s melted).
Step 2: Spread a generous amount of the melted chocolate on the backside of one of the cookies.
Step 3: Place a lollipop stick in the middle of that melted chocolate.
Step 4: Top the lollipop stick with more melted chocolate.
Step 5: Place the 2nd cookie on top & press to secure. Allow to dry (stick in the freezer for quicker drying time).
Enjoy!
How can you use these?
* Stick a bunch in a vase for a cookie bouquet
* Perfect pool party treat
* Give out as party favors. Wrap the top with cellophane & tie with a ribbon.
* Wedding Favors
* VBS snacks or treats
* Use instead of a cake (or in addition to).
* Gender reveal shower – one side is a pink cookie & the other side is a blue cookie or you could use the color of the chocolate melts in the middle give a hint to the gender.
What would you use these fun & simple desserts for? What’s your favorite cookie? Do you prefer the cookies soft or crispy?
Hope you have an awesome weekend! I’m going to *hopefully* be wrapping up some house projects that I can’t wait to show you!
