Hey party people!
Today’s post is a project that can be used for your 4th of July (or Independence Day) celebration or it would be perfect for a little boy’s birthday party.
The best part about this patriotic craft idea is that it’s EASY and almost FREE!
Here’s what you’ll need to create your own Rocket Ship Utensil Holder (plus I added a small piece of ribbon):
Step 1: Begin by drawing a template on your scrapbook paper. Lay the toilet paper roll down on the paper and roll it across while drawing a line at the top & bottom of the roll.
Step 2: Once you’ve drawn a template, cut it out. If you’re making multiples, use the first rectangle you cut as a template for the rest.
Step 3: Use double-sided tape or glue to secure the paper around the TP roll.
*After you secure it, you can add a red ribbon if you prefer. You can also use red scrapbook paper (or white) and write the person’s name on it.
Step 4: Insert your silverware or plasticware at the top & at the bottom, add your red napkin. You’ll have a fun & festive rocketship look-a-like place setting.
You can add a tag with the person’s name on it or a greeting (Happy 4th of July, Thanks for coming to Ethan’s birthday, etc). You can also write the person’s name on the actual “rocket.” Use a solid colored paper & write the name going down the “barrel.”
Hope you have a confetti-filled day! I’ll be back on Friday with some of my favorite picnic baskets…plus a couple of money-saving tips when packing a picnic!
p.s. This is YOUR official invite to the party… join in on the Parties for Pennies Facebook page, Twitter, and Pinterest!
