Hey party people!
What is that one show for you?
The one that you may be a tad embarrassed to tell people you love it…but you love to watch?
For me, it’s The Bachelorette/Bachelor. My sister & I get together every Monday night to watch it. We love speculating who is going to get a rose & who will be sent home. We love laughing at some of the crazy things people do or say. We love trying to analyze the love connections, or lack thereof.
I know the whole thing is a little far-fetched: Dating multiple people at once, under the pretense that you’ll meet the one you should be with for the rest of your life…all in a few weeks. Maybe not realistic but..man, it is fun to watch.
Of course, what better way to get a group of girls together than to throw a Bachelorette Viewing party!
It really doesn’t take much to put together a Bachelorette viewing party!
Just make sure you have…
Roses…
…and candles.
Pretty simple, huh?
I dug out all of my candles & set them all around our TV.
If you’ve ever watched The Bachelorette/Bachelor, you’ll know that during every rose ceremony there are always a gazillion candles.
My set-up pales in comparison, but it did create a fun Bachelorette/Bachelor vibe.
You can barely see it in the photo above, but I laid one red rose on a silver tray in front of the TV.
Besides the roses & candles, we decided to serve some fondue for our little party.
Before I show you the rest of the set-up, here’s the invitation we sent out.
It was meant to resemble a “date card” from the show.
I printed out a few more “date cards” to use as labels.
These were for the two types of fondue we served: cheese & chocolate.
The spread was really easy to set up. I used 2 black tablecloths I already had and stuffed a few boxes underneath to give some height.
The dippers were situated on various serving plates around the fondue.
And of course…we served a little wine.
Not that you’d need additional entertainment while watching the Bachelorette (there have been some cray-cray guys on this season), but I thought I’d create a little Bachelorette Bingo game.
It actually was really fun!
If you’d like to have your own Bachelorette viewing party, you can print these bingo cards out for the finale here –
Bachelorette Bingo 1 by PartiesforPennies.com.docx
&
Bachelorette Bingo 2 by PartiesforPennies.com.docx
Each sheet has two bingo cards with a different arrangement of phrases & situations to look for.
I also created these simple “date card” templates you can use as labels or invitations.

Well, I never thought I’d say this…but I didn’t really want to see any more chocolate after last night! It was so delicious but I ate more than my fill.
So…do you have any shows that you love to watch that would be fun to throw a little viewing party for?
Stay tuned for a refreshing & yummy recipe this Friday!
p.s. This is YOUR official invite to the party… join in on the Parties for Pennies Facebook page, Twitter, and Pinterest!

Yay! I didn’t know you were a fan, too. How fun! We all speculated that they are setting up Zak to be the next Bachelor…I mean the whole throwing the ring out the window??! Millions of girls yelled “Noooo” at their TVs (or computers) all at once! :p <3 Heidi

Love your party idea. I want to have a Bach viewing party also, but need ideas for Juan Pablo viewing? We love him. Any ideas? Thanks, Maria

Hey Maria! You are a girl after my own heart! ;p Love Juan Pablo! I would totally play off him being latino. Serve margaritas, mini burritos, guacamole, etc. You can even play with his name for the invites…”Juan-a join us for a Bachelor viewing party?” If you wanted to have a game, find several spanish sayings about love. Get the guests to guess what they mean. I probably should do a bingo game for Juan Pablo’s season too. If I do, I’ll post it to facebook! <3 Heidi
