Hey party people!
I’ve gotten many messages & emails asking me for anniversary party ideas so I figured it was about time I do a post about them.
If you don’t want it to be a themed party, one of the best places to start is with color schemes. The color scheme could be the couple’s wedding colors, favorite colors, or the color cooresponding with the anniversary year.
If the colors aren’t exciting for you. Try a black & white or sepia toned party with the theme of Then & Now.
Decorate with pictures throughout the marriage by hanging them from floating balloons, using them as table numbers, stringing them together as garland, or creating a table runner with them.
Find out where they went on their honeymoon & recreate the ambiance. Maybe they weren’t able to go on their dream honeymoon? Create a dream getaway without them even having to step on a plane.
A decade anniversary party is always fun, too. Did the happy couple get married in the 80s? Throw them an 80s-inspired anniversary party. Play songs that were popular the year they got married, show movie clips from the top movies, etc.
Then again, an anniversary is all about celebrating so you can’t go wrong with a fun & colorful themed anniversary party.
If you want to keep it simple, check out what Jessica from the Stay at Homeista did for her anniversary.
You can create a meaningful anniversary party with some of the most simple, meaningful touches…
…play the song they danced their 1st dance to.
…add one of their wedding flowers to the centerpieces.
…play their wedding video or create a video with their pictures.
Or you could give these out as favors…
Cookies of the happy couple! ;p
I saw this & thought it was funny and a great idea at the same time. These are through a company called Parkers Crazy Cookies.
Do you have an anniversary coming up? Are you doing anything special? Have you ever forgotten your anniversary?
Hope you have a confetti-filled day! Party On!
