Hey party people!
This past summer, I was able to attend BlogHer! It was an incredible event & I met some amazing people and companies. One such company is called PercyVites!
What is PercyVites?
It is a personalized video invitation company.
First, you…
PercyVites then creates a video invitation from your child (with their name in it) to the guest (with their individual name). They’re really fun & entertaining animated videos that your child may want to watch over & over again!
The really cool part about it?
Only $0.99/each and you don’t have to worry about postage. The invitations go straight to the guest’s inbox. PercyVites even keeps track of the RSVP’s for you. Pretty amazing, huh?
If you go to their website, you can see a quick example of the video invitation. It will seriously blow your cute socks off.
One of the characters of PercyVites…is Percy himself. He’s a cute little robot that will make sure your guests get all the right information.
And keeping with the theme of robots & Percy, here’s a fun & easy way to create your own Percy (or robot) plate.
What You’ll Need:
* Silver or Gray Plates
* Black cardstock (You could also use black duct tape)
* Green Tape (this is a smaller version of duct tape…and it is green even though the picture makes it look more yellow)
* Scissors
* Double-Sided Tape or Glue Stick
* Water Bottle Cap
STEP 1: Cut the black cardstock to fit about 2/3 of the plate (the indented portion) across.
STEP 2: Attach it to the plate using double-sided tape or glue stick.
STEP 3: Use your water bottle cap to trace two half-moon shapes onto the green tape. Lay the cap partially on the tape & trace around the edge, then raise the cap a little & trace another half-moon shape.
STEP 4: Cut out the half-moon these tracings created from the tape.
STEP 5: Cut two rectangle strips (about the same length of the half-moon shapes) from the tape.
STEP 6: Lay the half-moon shapes little lower than mid-way down the black cardstock strip.
STEP 7: Lay the rectangular strips slightly slanted above the half-moon shapes.
Your child will love being able to send a personalized PercyVite to their friends and then enjoy these fun DIY party plates with Percy on them.
If you would like to throw a Percy/Robot-themed party, check back next Friday because I have another fun party project for you.
Until then…Party On!
