Hey party people!
I love fall, don’t get me wrong, but I’m a little pumpkined-out already. Every day I sign in to Pinterest it seems like all I see are painted pumpkins, twine-pumpkins, velvet pumpkins, glittered pumpkins and it’s just getting to be a little too much. I love decorating for fall but I really want it to fit in with my every day decor.
That’s why I decided to repurpose my pumpkin as a planter…
…a succulent planter. It is now my centerpiece for our dining room table but I love that I can also use it as an outdoor decoration.
To see how you can create your own Pumpkin Succulent Planter, check out my blog post on Mohawk Flooring‘s blog, At Creative Home.
I’ve got some fun stuff in store over the next couple of weeks…so follow Parties for Pennies on Bloglovin or get it straight to your inbox (just add your email to the top right corner where it says “Subscribe to the Newsletter”).
p.s. This is YOUR official invite to the party… join in on the Parties for Pennies Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, & Bloglovin!

I like this. I have a succulent plant and YAY it’s still alive! 🙂 I have had it for months now and I may try that with mine.

Whoo hoo, Kim!! Another tip that I forgot to mention (I need to update the post) is that if you want to keep the pumpkin from going bad longer…put a plastic bag in the pumpkin then put the succulents inside of the bag. It will help keep the pumpkin drier. <3 Heidi

Heidi, I love this idea! I am not a traditional Fall colors kind-of-gal so I always love things that can blend better with my decor. Brilliant!
