Hey party people!
Yesterday, I gave you some ideas, a recipe, and a free printable invitation to throw your own Kate Spade Inspired Holiday Party but now we need to know what to WEAR!
I am so thrilled to be collaborating again with Kate & Elyse from Dress Your Guests! I LOVED the outfit choices they picked for my Labor Day Party & they have blown me away once again!
Kate was a buyer for Ralph Lauren & Elyse is my fellow party-planner (and also very stylish). These two ladies are the PERFECT people to help us decide What to Wear to a Holiday Party. They also know we all have different budgets, so they’ve given us several different price points!
The only thing that Dress Your Guests loves more than a good party is a good party with a fun dress code. The holiday season can often bring party invites with challenging dress codes leaving us stumped on how to dress appropriately for our event. Our favorite dress code during this time – festive holiday attire! We created four looks to help inspire you for your next holiday themed event all within a reasonable budget. Helpful shopping hint for this holiday season – sign up for all of your favorite retailers newsletters. All retailers will be competing for your business this holiday season and you will be the first to know about the special deals they are offering. I used the holiday codes from Banana Republic and J.Crew to save me 30% to 40% off on my purchases! Happy Shopping!

Mixed Metals for the Company Christmas Party
Total Look Including the Shoes = $640
With Holiday Coupon Codes JCrew 30% off and BR 40% off = $430
The holiday season is the perfect time to put on the shine. Keep the look conservative when mingling with co-workers. I loved mixing this great metallic skirt from JCrew with the silver shoes as both metallic play off of each other so well. Going straight from the office? Remove the work blazer and add this lux sweater from BR to help elevate the look. Make sure to include some extra sparkle in your holiday attire with fun accessories such as these drop earrings from BR.
JCREW SKIRT $158
JCREW TNECK – $34.50
BR CARDIGAN – $120
EARRINGS – $49.50
SHOES – $278
UNDER $250
Shimmer and Shine for a Festive Attire Cocktail Party
Total Look = $379
With BR coupon code of 40% = $227!
Attending a festive attire cocktail party? Break out the sequins. A sequin shift is the perfect dress to wear to any cocktail party and almost all retailers out there have their own version. Add lux accessories like a faux fur cardigan and statement necklace to help add polish to your look. Another holiday must – a fab lip! A bold berry or bright red will compliment your glittery attire.
SEQUIN SHIFT – $150
CARDIGAN – $120
NECKLACE –$59.50
EARRINGS – $49.50
UNDER $175
Black and Gold for a Cozy Party at Home
Total Look = $179
With BR’s coupon code = $158
Bored of the LBD? Try a black jumpsuit instead. This is the perfect outfit for entertaining at home. Chic, easy and comfortable! I kept this look simple and tied it all together with elements of gold. Pair with a black pump or a gold shoe for that extra glitz.
JUMPSUIT – $74.41
EARRINGS – $50.82
BELT – $55
Pink and Red to Wear to a Kate Spade Inspired Holiday Cocktail Party
Want to update the traditional holiday red outfit? Just add pink! Pink and red are a super chic combo. Add in silver accents and you have a party perfect look.

The Perfect Party Shoe!
Perfect Party Shoe
Footwear during the holidays and the winter can be tricky. These shoes have been on my wishlist for quite some time and I finally splurged on them as they were 30% off with J.Crew’s holiday coupon code. They are the perfect party shoe! We think the silver acts as a neutral when paired with festive holiday attire.
The Perfect Party Shoe – $278 + 30% off = $194
Thank you so much Kate & Elyse! Love the outfit inspirations.
Love these outfits but still need to trim the budget a bit? Print off these outfit inspirations & bring them shopping with you. Many times I’ll find very similar pieces somewhere else even cheaper and I always try to splurge on one of the items I know I’ll wear over again.
Just a side note: Kate was the beautiful model & she JUST had a baby! Can you believe it? The only thing I’d be able to model after a baby would be sweat pants. ;p Kate…you look amazing.
We’ve got another collaboration coming for New Years Eve too! Meanwhile, check out Dress Your Guests!
p.s. This is YOUR official invite to the party… join in on the Parties for Pennies Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram & Bloglovin!
