Hey party people!
For a bridal shower with a hot color combination and a fun geometric element, this Geometric Diamond Bridal shower will hit the spot.
The geometric diamond backdrop created the basis for my dessert table. It’s really easy to make using a foamboard, material, and yarn. For the complete instructions, check out my Geometric Diamond Backdrop tutorial.
Speaking of the invitation the backdrop was modeled after, here it is. This one is actually a video tutorial, so it’s really easy to follow. For the tutorial and a free printable, click here.
I chose a variety of desserts to serve.
1 | Diamond Ring Doughnuts – White Chocolate Dipped Strawberries (with the stems cut off) on top of mini cake doughnuts. I attached them with a toothpick.
2 | Rock Candy Sticks w/ Washi Tape Flags
3| Mini Rice Crispy Squares Drizzled with White Chocolate & Pink Sprinkles
4| Mini Strawberry cupcakes
Another dessert I served were lady fingers with a buttercream filling. And I also made a vanilla cake with a buttercream and strawberry filling.
TIP: Buy a roll of washi tape in the colors of your party. It is such an inexpensive item and can be used to fancy up anything! I made these little flags for the rock candy by wrapping a piece of washi tape around the stick, then cutting out a triangle.
The tables were made vibrant with this navy & white striped fabric from Fabric & Fringe in Marietta, Ga. Thanks to all my facebook friends who recommended it. I usually get most of my fabric from Online Fabric but there was a little issue with this order (they were so wonderful though) so I had to go with plan B.
My greatest recommendation for beautiful table coverings is to anchor them with a white tablecloth and then use patterned fabric to cover part of the table. This saves a lot of money and you can always reuse that fabric for something else. Don’t have a sewing machine? Use heat & bond to secure the edges.
These plates and bamboo cutlery, I got from Party City & the napkins are from Home Goods. I’ve found some great party items at Home Goods and Marshalls for wonderful prices.
I adore flowers for my centerpieces but if you have multiple tables, that can really add up. Save a little bit of money by creating these floating flower centerpieces. For complete instructions and various ideas of how to use them, click here.
Here are some shower favor ideas to go along with this theme: Ring Pops, Rock Candy, Diamond Bottle Opener, Diamond Key Ring ($1.55ea), or a Diamond Bottle Stopper ($2.72ea).
