Hey party people!
We were in MAJOR need of dining room storage. I finally found the perfect thing, but I have to share about the pictures I can’t share from this past week.
Well, this past week/weekend was quite eventful in our home. Our basement flooded due to a kitchen pipe that had cracked. When the plumber came out, he had to cut through three cabinets to fix it and found mold. Since the pipe had slowly been dripping water behind our cabinets and dry wall downstairs, we ended up with pretty bad mold. Our house has been quarentined by the mold people, our kitchen flooring ripped up in spots, cabinets cut, downstairs dry wall taken down, and carpet that will have to be replaced downstairs. All of that…the week before I was throwing a dinner party. It wasn’t just a regular dinner party. It was a brainstorming dinner party with 8 friends that agreed to lend their creativity to a project I’m working on.
45 minutes before everyone arrived our kitchen was still walled off in plastic and a sweltering 95 degrees. It all turned out wonderfully, but I wasn’t really able to take many pictures. Sorry about that.
A light in last week was a new addition to our dining room. I’ve been looking for a sideboard for 2 years with no luck. Sure, I’ve found some but I just didn’t want to pay $1,000+.
Then, I saw this gray beauty at Kudzu antiques last week. It was just a little over $200! Thanks to our friend, Jeff, we were able to pick it up this past weekend. I love it!
It has soo much room. You may be shocked at this, but I cannot get enough entertaining items. I adore our 60s ranch style home, but storage space is one of the things it lacks.
What do you think? Do you like it?
