Hey party people!
Halloween is such a fun time of year – haunted houses, trick or treating, and seeing tombstones in people’s yard (only time this is actually okay). It doesn’t always have to be scary. This Halloween, I’m bringing glamour back (which totally “rock, paper, scissors” sexy) with a Glam Halloween Party.
All you need are a few glam accessories to create your own –
* Craft Jewels
* Sparkly Black & Silver Card stock
* Feathers
Let’s start with your invitations.
I thought it’d be fun to send the invite as a mask that guests can cut out, decorate, then wear to the party. If you’d like to create your own, print off the template here.
To create your own “Mask Invitation,” here are the steps:
1 | Fill in the party information on the Mask Invitation template.
2 | Print the invitations on white card stock.
3 | Cut the invitations down to a 5×7 size. It will probably be pretty close to the mask outline.
4 | Cut out a 5×7 piece of your black sparkly card stock.
5 | Glue the two pieces together.
6 | Stick in an envelope with jewels, feathers, ribbon, etc for the guest to decorate it with.
Another fun addition is to accessorize your appetizers with these jewel appetizer picks. They are so easy to make. Just add the jewel to a toothpick with hot glue.
Save some jewels to make these fun wine charms. These are just plastic spider rings that have a jewel glued to the top. These may be the only spiders I’m actually fond of!
Serve chilled champagne by keeping cold in this…
This one is my favorite. All I did was take a white pumpkin, clean the insides, add a plastic bag, and then some ice. The “Cheers” on the outside was created with a bunch of the jewels hot glued to the pumpkin. I first wrote out the word with a white chaulk paint pen as a guide.
Did you know you can ask your local grocery store bakery to create a cake like this? If you’re short on time, this is a budget-friendly way to keep on trend without the stress of making one yourself.
I just cut out the “Boo” letters and stick them on top.
See…party planning doesn’t have to overwhelming, complicated, or expensive. Sometimes, it just takes a few things.
Happy Halloween! Party on.
