Hey party people!
I don’t know about you, but I’m trying to soak up this last little bit of summer. Enjoying workouts outside, wearing tank tops, and eating ice cream! I mean…ice cream is a summer given, right?
One of the best gifts I got this year was an ice cream maker from my husband. It was a smart move on his part, because he’s definitely benefited from that gift. And now…you will too!
The kind of homemade ice cream I make is WAY healthier than regular ice cream. There are only a few ingredients and it’s dairy free! In this video, I show you how to make a basic vanilla coconut milk ice cream. From there, you can add in your favorite flavors and mix-ins. Most recently, I did Cookies n’ Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (both gluten free). I found gluten free “oreos” at Sprouts recently and added those in (they were really yummy). There’s gluten free cookie dough you can buy at most grocery stores, too.
TIP: If you’re a stickler for the “no raw cookie dough” thing, then buy soft chocolate chip cookies (they have gluten free ones as well). Chop those up and add them to the ice cream. They taste very similar to the dough.
Here’s how you can make your own Healthy Homemade Ice Cream…
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can freeze this mixture, but it won’t be as creamy as from an ice cream maker. Here’s a link to the maker I use…
And here is a printable version of the recipe…

If you end up making this homemade ice cream, snap a picture and tag @PartiesforPennies on instagram! I’d scream to see your ice cream. ;p
