How to Throw a Tea Party {using your Sizzix machine}

Hey party people!

I’m honored to be able to party series video tutorials for a company called Sizzix. Even if you don’t own a Sizzix machine, some of the party ideas may still be inspiring, so I thought I’d share. Here’s How to Throw a Tea Party using a Sizzix machine.

Whether you use this tutorial or not, paper flowers can be a great money saver for parties. Since they don’t need to be watered or kept alive (I’m, personally, not the best at that), you can arrange the paper flowers far in advance to save you some stress, too.

Once you get the hang of creating your paper flowers, putting together this floral crown will be a breeze. This is a perfect party favor and will definitely make for some pretty pictures.

Here are a few more budget-friendly ideas if you’re planning a tea party:

1 | Use an old floral sheet as a tablecloth, like I did in my party. I found this one at a thrift store for a couple bucks. If you do use a thrift store sheet, I always wash mine twice on a very hot setting.

2 | Mix & match your tea sets. Don’t have a whole set? Mis-matched tea cups still look beautiful.

3 | Budget-friendly food item – scones. You can always find pre-made mixes at the grocery store or World Market. They’re easy to whip up and cost less than dishing out dough for bakery items.

Here’s to a cheery tea time (imagine me saying it in a British accent)! Party on!
